Mindfulness Summit

A friend sent me this link, so I thought I’d pass it along in case any of you are interested. It’s free for the month of October. Lots of mindfulness experts and others will be presenting daily, and the videos can be accessed live or 24 hours after. I have a lot going on and don’t know that I’ll be able to do all offered, but I’m going to try. Join me!

  1. I’ve got WAY too much going on right now also (moved last week…worse mess now than before I moved!), but I just wanted to pop in and say hello. Hope you are getting settled in in your new place πŸ™‚

PS: I just noticed the addition to your blog title “So Does Joy”. I love that! I’ll keep that in mind πŸ™‚

    • I’m so glad you did!!! You’ll get there. Moving is hard. If we didn’t have to be adults and work and get kids to school and activities and make sure they get all their stuff done and get lunches packed, and could simply focus on unpacking and setting up home in a new place, it might be easier. Sending good vibes your way! It’s so good to hear from you! πŸ™‚

    • I’ve been enjoying it. I loved the talk I watched yesterday with Jono Fisher of The Wake Up Project. If it’s available still, you should check it out. They speakers were mostly all new to me, too. Hope you’re having a good week!

  2. p.s. I just checked out the speakers and Ruby Wax is scheduled; she’s the one I’d be most interested in – I’ve heard such great things about her standup, her TED talk and her book. Here’s a blurb from their site:

    RUBY WAX
Actress/comedian, mindfulness teacher, speaker and author of ‘Sane New World’
Why we need to end the stigma around mental illness
Understanding your brain and how to live ‘sanely’ in the fast paced digital era

Thanks for sharing this with us, lovely one!

    • Cool! I’ll make sure i check her talk out. I didn’t look into the entire summit much before my post, but the friend that sent it is a huge mental health advocate. I have so many thoughts on stigma right now but am wrangling little people at the moment and can’t get all my thoughts typed out.
