Okay, friends. I’m working diligently, so here’s my update (otherwise known as how I keep myself accountable.)
I plowed through a huge basket of old bills yesterday and cleared the kids’art area that is in the middle of my living room. (Yes, a year or so ago I was certain I wanted a tiny house. 1500 square feet later, I now long for a McMansion — not really, but I’m no longer jazzed about anything smaller than my current place.)
I woke up with a stiff neck and baxk this morning — this always happens when I go back on stimulants. I think it’s because I actually sit and focus for longer periods of time rather than bouncing from one activity to another. I also tend to carry tention in my shoulders so naturally this increases when i work at my desk for longer periods of time.
So…I decided to make the turmeric smoothie I blogged about nearly a year ago.
TURMERIC SMOOTHIE
Ingredients:
1 cup hemp or coconut milk
1/2 cup frozen pineapple or mango chunks
1 fresh banana
1 TBSP coconut oil
1/2 tsp turmeric (or 1 tsp)
1/2 cinnamon
1/2 ginger
1 tsp chia seeds
1 tsp maca (optional)
~~ Blend all ingredients until smooth
Here’s a link to the original recipe over at Cure Joy.
I have to keep my momentum going. Today I cleared a bunch of stuff off my phone and computer and I continued with the baskets of paperwork. Things are gradually feeling more manageable.
I have a lot more to say but I’m trying to go to bed early.
Do you struggle with clutter? Join me in clearing it and let me know how it’s going.

I am SO impressed!!!!! Woo hoo!!!!! I’m proud of you, my friend!
You get a GOLD STAR: ⭐️
Re: stiff neck & back yuckiness – I get that too and sometimes it hurts enough that I get off my lazy derriere and take a hot bath with Dr. Teal’s epsom salts – there’s one blend specifically for aches, and it helps. I’ve found it at Costco, of all places (i.e. the ninth circle of Hades) and I’ve also gotten it at CVS and Safeway.
I haven’t made much progress on the clutter front over the past few days, but I’m inspired after reading this post. You rock! ✨

I love Dr. Teal’s Epson Salts. Thank you for reminding me about that. I’ll pick some up tomorrow. I feel like I’m working but making little progress. GRRR. I’ll get there. Thank you for the support. Hope you’ve had a lovely weekend! 🙂

Hey, Viv! Great going!! Sorry about the hurting part, tho. I hope the smoothie “smoothed” out those aches!

Clutter is terrible and -at least for me – a sign of an overbusy life. I appreciate your energy here. Perhaps if I make your smoothie recipe, a little will rub off on me? 🙂

I agree that clutter is a sign of an overbusy life. For me, though, the past year has been a sort of avoiding things I typically would have made a point to handle. So…it’s time and I need to trudge on and get it done. Honestly, I feel like I’ve been working non-stop for over a week now and while, I’m closer, I’m not where I’d like to be. Maybe I need another smoothie. 🙂
